The earliest iteration of HCI was formed in the late 1980s in Tampa, Florida by Steven Glantz and Adam Edison, born out of the public- and private-sector technological investment boom and subsequent need to protect and maintain the operation of the high-performance critical networking infrastructure. These high-energy, constantly evolving critical environments had a knack for accumulating microcontaminants, dust and larger debris from regular operations, introducing high levels of equipment failure, downtime and reduced productivity risk which must be avoided at all costs. Steven and Adam identified this need early on, becoming some of the first in the country to offer tailored decontamination solutions to mitigate that risk and keep network operations up and running.

30 years later, HCI finds itself as a boutique industry leader taking clean room decontamination to a level of seriousness unmatched by any other competitor in the space, proven by the thousands of satisfied clients they have served over the years. HCI continues with its headquarters in Tampa, serving not only Florida but the entire continental US.
